So, I have a large site, but I believe it works. At first I was a bit skeptical, but with some math and firm supporters, it has worked itself out. I did some massing models and some very basic diagrams to make sure that my program and site will be able to work together. I don't plan on using the entire site to begin with, but the leftover space shouldn't be awkward, but meaningful. My program consists of a satellite art school for MassArt and an artists residence/apartment building; all that square footage combined with a .3 multiplier for estimated circulation and 1.5 multiplier for double height space, the total is 200,000 square feet. The site, in Worcester, is 164,766 square feet.
For the following diagrams, I started with the 200,000 sq.ft. and cut it in half then stacked it. This process of cutting in half and stacking continues with the rest of the diagrams until the building is a sixteenth of the original massing.
the light blue is the building's footprint on the site
on top of the image I placed a general isometric to see how the floors related to the footprint
