So, it's a new year and with a new year comes a new semester. This semester being sort of unique since it will be my last, at least for now, and the second semester of my thesis year. It has been a roller coaster of a winter break, but the last week or so has brought me back to earth and feeling psyched and motivated for the upcoming challenges. With all the right people around, I have quite the atmosphere of support and excitement, which is always helpful and I can only hope it will last until May. A year thesis can be quite stressful, but also quite rewarding and I can only thank the people I have surrounded myself with for all their help because without them it wouldn't be as rewarding and successful. So far it has been altogether an opportunity I would not regret, not only have I been cramming to understand my thesis, but I have traveled places, met and got to know people I wouldn't have if I had said 'no'. I say 'yes' and it may complicate my schedule, but these are the things I truly enjoy in life. My apartment may be a mess, but it's nice and in a sense beautiful to see copper, glass, fabrics, colors, lights, and various other materials scattered about trying to describe my thesis and material explorations.
