We got a list of terms, which I decided to define through the Oxford English Dictionary to narrow down my choices.
I picked three words...Movement
Color
Transparency
Movement is...
- the action or process of moving
- the change of position
- passage from place to place
- a change of position which a body undergoes in tactical or strategical evolutions
Color is...
- a visual attribute of things that results from the light they emit or transmit or reflect
- When thinking of color I thought of the grass is green and the sky is blue, but why?
- I simplified it, the grass is green because it absorbs all the other colors thus reflecting green for eyes to see. I also thought about how the primary colors mix to make their complimentary colors, then tertiary...
Transparency is...
- the quality or condition of being transparent (having property of transmitting light, something that can be seen through, recognized, understood or detected, clear and apparent...)
- previousness to light
- made visible by means of a light behind
- a skin
Since picking these three terms, I've made two collages for each, trying to represent how it captures the architectural experience.
For my next blog I'll try to put up the collages I've done so far...
