funneling to downtown, not only does the landscape create this funneling effect, so do the pathways and transportation set up by the city, one can leave and come back to city hall on practically every public transportation bus route. The building heights, due to their typology and the district/zones, relate to this funneling effect as well. Downtown worcester is surrounded by multiple residential zones with business/manufacturing towards the center, while the height recedes as you leave the center the topology increases in elevation, almost making it seem as Worcester is flat...
