not my thesis...

So today by midnight I have a library comparison due of a local and international library.  Part of this assignment is to do a sectional perspective of a library that you're studying (along with a paper and a bunch of diagrams because naturally the class is about 'reading architecture').  So to tackle this sectional perspective I did a quick sketchup model then did some handy-work with the old but loved drafting table in the corner of my apartment...

nothing's better than working with my drafting table on a Friday night

before and after shot of the drawing; shading = life....

Doing drawings like this reminds me of sophomore and junior year where hand drafting was all the rage for me.  It's not exactly the same because it's not quite constructed completely by hand, but it's my hand that moved the mouse.  I'm not saying I don't know how to construct a perspective by hand anymore, it's just using the computer has made things maybe a bit more time efficient, if you call three hours efficient, I'm not sure, but it was only three.

I met with my lovely secondary advisor today for my thesis, and the dialog was quite motivating and extremely helpful to get me moving in the right direction, so weekend of thesis here I come... starting tomorrow, I think now I'll go to bed (no point in starting anything when its this late- I mean some people can do it, but eeehhhhh)...
